Remote support is a highly cost-effective technology that allows a technician to service your computer from a remote location. This way, the technician doesn’t have to physically be where you or your computer is located.  From his location, he can securely connect to your computer and see your desktop screen just as if he were sitting right there in your home or office.

How does it Work?

Once you connect to the service, you are prompted to download a small, self-installing plug-in, which allows Clever Technology to view your desktop and share control of your mouse and keyboard. At any time during a support session, you can take control of your computer just by moving your mouse. You get to say in control for the entire process.

Is Remote Support Secure?

Yes, our remote support software uses 256-bit AES end-to-end encryption. This means that everything about your remote session is protected with the same level of encryption that banks, and even the military use. Nobody but you and Clever Technology gets to see what is going on during your session.

Is It Safe To Use?

Our Remote Support is actually safer than taking your computer somewhere. During your Remote Support session, you get to stay in control of your computer and you can watch us work our magic. You get to see the entire process from start to finish. Once the session has ended, our software automatically deletes itself and Clever Technology can no longer see your screen or access your computer.

How Long Does an Average Session Last?

The duration of a remote session varies greatly depending on the issue we are trying to resolve. On average, a typical computer cleanup can take upwards of over an hour and a half to perform whereas a virus removal could take several hours to complete. There are so many determining factors to consider. Clever Technology charges a flat rate for our Remote Support, this way you know that the work we are doing is the best it can be and we’re not trying to “milk the clock”.
